The Blues Brothers (16-Jun-1980)

Director: John Landis

Writers: Dan Aykroyd; John Landis

Producer: Robert K. Weiss

Keywords: Action/Comedy, Nuns, SNL Spinoff, Classic Car Chase, Road Trip, Nazis

Upon release from prison of "Joliet" Jake Blues, brothers Jake and Elwood Blues visit the Catholic orphanage which raised them, and are disturbed to learn it is in arrears for property taxes and in danger of foreclosure. The obvious solution is to put their band back together and hold a charity concert; although they are on a "mission from God", many things stand in their way. Includes one of the greatest car chases in history. Best SNL spinoff by a wide margin.
