Well-known comedian Pauly Shore endures a critical career failure, reduced to parking cars at the Comedy Store after he loses his house and finds himself without an agent willing to represent him. Faking his own death following a hallucination in which a dead comedian tells him to do so to cement his place amongst the pantheon of legendary funnymen, Shore ends up in the midst of yet another calamity when he is exposed and committed to a mental ward.
