A middle-aged man facing unemployment due to a lack of higher education decides to go back to school.

ABSTRACT
Larry Crowne, a middle-aged divorced man and Navy veteran, faces the possible loss of his house when his big-box retail employer terminates his job due to a lack of a college education. Encouraged by his neighbor to enroll at the local community college, Larry takes his advice, purchasing a scooter and recapturing his youth with a much-younger fellow scooter rider whilst forming a bond with a college instructor trapped in an unhappy marriage.
