I Love N.Y. (1988)

REVIEWS Review by Barry Dominey, Jr. (posted on 6-May-2007) Mario Cotone, an aspirant photographer from Little Italy, New York, becomes enraptured with Nicole Yeats, the stunning daughter of an efficacious and significantly prententious stage and film actor, who in turn is disapproving of their newfound affiliation.
The bulk of critics gave this one rather bleak reviews, but at least it gave Scott Baio, who I personally thought was first-rate in a dramatic role with comic overtones, the prospect to widen his acting skills.
The supporting players include the great Christopher Plummer as the much pompous actor John Yeats, Virni Lisi as Baio's mother, Jennifer O'Neill as Plummer's oversexed actress girlfriend Irene and the late, terrific Jerry Orbach, who provides some great laughs as Baio's boss Leo.
