ABSTRACT Oscar is a lovable loser in a world of anthropomorphic sea creatures, working as a tongue scrubber at the Whale Wash and spending his days dreaming of a life filled with fame and riches. Discovered by chance at the scene of mob-connected great white shark Frankie's death at the hands of an anchor, Oscar exploits the situation for his own gain, enjoying a new reputation as the much-revered "Sharkslayer" that soon becomes a burden in a big way when Frankie's family appears determined for revenge.
