Broadcast 1987-90 on CBS. The episodes are not "standalone" but instead run in various "arcs", the first of which involves Ray Sharkey as mobster Sonny Steelgrave. Ken Wahl plays a federal cop whose loyalties are frequently tested, and Sharkey shines in his role. One of the best crime dramas ever produced, a show easy to get hooked on.
