Toronto Argonauts (CFL)
SPORTS FRANCHISE
Canadian pro football team, established 1873. Joined the Ontario Rugby Football Union (ORFU) in 1883, and won the ORFU championship in 1883. When ORFU folded after the 1906 season, the Argonauts joined the Inter-provincial Rugby Football Union (IRFU) in 1907. Began play as a charter member of the Canadian Football League (CFL) in 1958. Grey Cup winners in 1914, 1921, 1933, 1937, 1938, 1945, 1946, 1947, 1950, 1952, 1983, 1991, 1996, 1997, 2004, and 2012.
