Her father is a melange of Italian, Scottish, Irish and Native American, but exactly how this mix was arrived at is not known. Peeples has in the past called herself a "Native American" but clearly this is a small percentage of her ancestry. She has never stated publicly what tribe, if any, she may be a member of.
