An early investor in Amazon. In 2000 he founded Novelty Hill Winery, where he is learning the trade of winemaking. By 2002 the winery was producing 5,000 cases annually. Tom's son, Robert Albert, is not so fortunate. He was sentenced in 2004 to 13 years prison for possessing enough ricin toxin (which he had ordered through the mail) to kill 200 people. One email he wrote "It's now exciting working with poisons perhaps I'll find a way to end all life on Earth through some interesting items." Another email, to his sister, confided that he "could now poison water supplies."
