The group had a series of successful singles in the UK before disbanding (after a brief name change to Fairweather) in 1970.
In 1974 Andy began a solo career, releasing four solo albums in the period before 1980. Since his return to action, he has collaborated with countless musicians - most notably as a member of Eric Clapton's backing band and as a paricipant in almost all of Roger Waters' recordings and tours.
