Bill RomanowskiAKA William Thomas Romanowski

Born: 2-Apr-1966
Birthplace: Vernon, CT

Gender: Male
Race or Ethnicity: White
Sexual orientation: Straight
Occupation: Football

Nationality: United States
Executive summary: Abusive NFL linebacker

NFL linebacker known for being highly aggressive. Among the fines incurred during play include $20,000 paid to Kerry Collins in 1997, after breaking his jaw in two places which forced that player to stay out the season; and $7500 for spitting in the face of J. J. Stokes in that same year. More notoriously, he was ordered by a court to pay his own teammate Marcus Williams $300,000 (lost earnings) plus $40,000 (medical bills), after Romanowski punched the player in the face during a practice on 24 August 2003. Williams had originally sought $3.8M. Romo was forced to retire. In 2005 he wrote a tell-all memoir and appeared on 60 Minutes, where he admitted taking steroids and human growth hormone (received he says from BALCO's Victor Conte) in the last three years of his career. Also he says he suffered far more concussions on the field than anyone had suspected. Doctors believe his higher cognitive functions will be impaired probably for the rest of his life.
