How much Cherokee blood she has, if any, is not known, nor from which parent it may have come from. Of much material written about her father, Hank Penny, we could locate none which indicate he was Cherokee. From examination of a photograph of Shari Penny, it appears that if she has Cherokee blood it is likely distant.
