| Steve Harris AKA Steve J. Harris
 Born: 3-Dec-1965 Birthplace: Chicago, IL
Gender: Male Race or Ethnicity: Black Sexual orientation: Matter of Dispute Occupation: Actor Nationality: United States Executive summary: The Practice Harris is most famous for playing attorney Eugene Young on the long-running overwrought lawyer show The Practice, perpetually conflicted over defending probably-guilty clients. Amidst the ongoing circus of bizarre court cases, Harris's Eugene took over as the law firm's senior partner in the series' eighth and final season, when former nominal star Dylan McDermott was "disappeared" from the cast. Harris, Michael Badalucco, and Camryn Manheim were the only actors to make it through all eight seasons of The Practice, from debut to finale.
Since The Practice, Harris has bloomed as a leading man in independent features, earning good reviews in Diary of A Mad Black Woman and The Unseen. He also played Sonny Liston in the TV movie King of the World.
He is not Steve Harris the bassist for Iron Maiden, Steve Harris the author of Straker's Island, Steve Harris the pro basketball player, Steve Harris the celebrity doctor, or Steve Harris the drummer for the British improvisational group Zaum. He is, however, the same Steve Harris who played linebacker for Northern Illinois University -- he was scouted by the pros, but his football days ended with an ankle injury.
