Three estranged friends re-unite after years spent going their separate ways, opting to take a cross-country road trip with a guy in tow.

ABSTRACT
Lucy, Kit, and Mimi, three best friends living in rural Georgia, bury a "wish box" as young children, promising to dig it up together after they graduate from high school. Time separates the trio; Kit ends up ruling the campus roost, Lucy becomes a bookworm, and Mimi falls by the wayside, dejected and pregnant. The three young women stick to their plans to open the "wish box" when the time comes around, anyway, reconciling and ultimately deciding to set out on a cross-country road trip with guy pal Ben tagging along.
