When I first saw this
musical, I was around ten years old. I fell in love with Jane Powell.
It also brought my attention to Debbie Reynolds, I loved her character
more than Jane Powell's in this musical. Debbie Reynolds was the
younger sister who wanted the boy that had taken a liking to her older
sister, Jane Powell. This musical was a breath of fresh air to me.
There were two completely different forms of womanhood. Debbie
Reynolds's character who was strong and witty and Jane Powell's who was
flirtatious and giddy all the time. I can't rant and rave about this
musical enough. I am of an age, 16, where most teenagers my age don't
even know who these people are...and yet I am in love with them all. I
would love to get a copy of this movie at some point in time. I just
have no idea where to get it.
Do you know something we don't?
