ABSTRACT Psychotherapist Catherine Deane, a proponent of a cutting-edge form of treatment permitting her to enter the mind of her patients, is compelled by an FBI agent to help out with a tough case. The mission: Enter the mind of Carl Stargher, a wanted serial killer in a deep coma, and determine the location of his most recent kidnapping victim. With precious time dwindling away, Catherine must work through the various nuances of Carl's tortured psyche to divine his latest victim's location.
