ABSTRACT
Nathan West, an Army sergeant and leader of a team of Army Rangers respected and reviled in equal measure for his effective yet tough methods of training, disappears following a hurricane-affected exercise in Panama. Army Ranger-turned-DEA agent Tom Hardy, a man owing his superior interrogation skills to time served as one of West's trainees, is tasked with investigating the situation, drawn into a complicated murder mystery with several questions for every answer as he contends with contradictory eyewitness accounts and headache-inducing layers of political intrigue.
