Children's comedy follows a third-grade girl's attempts to have the most thrilling summer of her life.

ABSTRACT
Judy Moody, a third-grader released from school for the summer, endeavors to have the most thrilling vacation of her life. When matters are complicated by her parents' decision to travel to California and leave her and her brother with their aunt Opal, however, Judy is forced to exercise her ingenuity by creating a list of "Thrill Points" -- deemed "The Judy Moody Mega-Rare NOT a Bummer Summer Dare" -- and subsequently launching herself into a competition for maximum "thrills" with her friends.
