Cameron James is new at Padua High School; he sets eyes on Bianca Stratford and is smitten. There is a catch: Bianca is not permitted to date, unless her older sister Kat is also dating. Kat however, is anti-social, highly feminist, and an essentially undateable pill. Clearly, someone must be found to tame that shrew. Ambitious comedy is much better than the average teen movie. Shakespeare is not credited but the name of the high school alludes to the play's setting.
