ABSTRACT
Maleficent, a beautiful woman with a heart and moral compass as inviolable as her appearance, suffers a transformation into a vindictive villain after an act of betrayal during her early life turns her heart to stone. A revenge-seeking Maleficent places a curse on Aurora, the infant daughter of the king responsible for disrupting the peace of her homeland's successor, only to find herself working to undo her grave misdeed as the child matures and displays promise for restoring goodness to her world.
