Malley Keywords: Music Documentary One-hour made-for-TV production documenting the making of We Are the World, a single written by Michael Jackson and Lionel Richie for USA for Africa. Inspired by Bob Geldof's Band Aid the previous year, 47 recording artists performed on the song. Proceeds assisted famine relief in Africa. In 2005 it was packaged and re-released as a 20th Anniversary Edition of much greater length, titled We Are the World: The Story Behind The Song.
