Gangster Jerry Welbach is sent to Mexico on an errand to retrieve "The Mexican", a prize handmade pistol, and return it to the United States. But he has promised his unforgiving girlfriend the weekend in Las Vegas, a situation further complicated when she is nearly killed by a hitman and then kidnapped by another, much more homosexual hitman played by James Gandolfini. Technically a romantic comedy, though with quite a bit more violence than most.
