Mr. and Mrs. Smith (31-Jan-1941)
Director: Alfred Hitchcock Writer: Norman Krasna Musical Score by: Edward Ward Keywords: Romantic Comedy A couple discover three years into their matrimony that, due to a technicality, their union is not valid. Screwball comedy completely atypical of Hitchcock; falls somewhat apart towards the end of the film. Hitchcock later explained to François Truffaut: "Since I really didn't understand the type of people who were portrayed in the film, all I did was to photograph the scenes as written."
