ABSTRACT
The life of Howard Hughes, a billionaire businessman and financier whose eccentric endeavors in the fields of aviation and entertainment would ultimately give way to debilitating mental illness, receives a screen treatment in The Aviator, a Martin Scorsese-directed epic following the ever-enigmatic figure from early beginnings inheriting the Hughes Tool Company's fortune to a passion for aviation, relationships with a cast of Hollywood starlets, and a growing problem with obsessive-compulsive disorder.
