Film adaptation of the Maurice Sendak story of the same name follows a troubled young boy's experiences with a fantastical world of his own creation.

Max, a troubled young boy with a wild imagination to match his difficult attitude, runs away from home in a wolf costume one night when he is sent to bed without dinner following a tantrum directed at his mother and older sister. Determined to escape his undesirable surroundings, Max imagines himself in a whimsical world populated by man-eating beasts, becoming their king after he promises to heal their societal ills.
