After MI6 Headquarters receives a golden bullet, inscribed "007", from mercenary assassin Francisco Scaramanga, James Bond is taken off active duty. Against orders, he investigates, finding that Scaramanga has stolen the Solex Agitator, an invaluable MacGuffin capable of harnessing the sun's power. He heads for Southeast Asia. Second outing as Bond for Roger Moore. Christopher Lee as Scaramanga is one of the better Bond villains; Hervé Villechaize is Nick Nack, his diminutive manservant.
