Sherlock Holmes and the Secret Weapon (4-Jan-1943)
Director: Roy William Neill Writers: Edward T. Lowe; W. Scott Darling; Edmund L. Hartmann From short story: The Dancing Men by Arthur Conan Doyle Music by: Frank Skinner Keywords: Mystery, Sherlock Holmes The Swiss inventor of a bomb sight promises his invention to the Allies, and he must be protected from both the Gestapo and the detective's nemesis, Professor Moriarty. Lacks some of the charm of the other Sherlock Holmes excursions, but has plenty of excitement. Some elements were taken from The Dancing Men but the film is not based on that story.
