A young journalism student receives a tantalizing scoop from the specter of a deceased reporter, drawn into a romance with the aristocrat at the heart of her story.

Recently-deceased renowned British journalist Joe Strombel cheats Death to communicate with the mortal world as a ghastly specter, appearing to American journalism student Sondra Pransky during a magic show with a juicy scoop poised to reveal the identity of London's at-large "Tarot Card Killer". Acting on Joe's advice, Sondra is led into the arms of charming British aristocrat Peter Lyman, forced to reconcile the man of her dreams with the possibility that he may very well be the dangerous subject of her scoop.
