A fledgling New York City comedian entertains a comedic and complicated relationship with a younger woman.

Jerry Falk, an unsuccessful New York City comedy writer, meets and falls in love with enticing younger woman Amanda; he is so enamored with her presence that he breaks up with girlfriend Brooke to date her. Anything Else follows Jerry -- burdened by the thought that "life is like anything else" -- as he navigates a whirlwind romance with the unpredictable Amanda while engaging sixty-year old buddy David in long discussions filled with advice and epiphanies.
