Battle for the Planet of the Apes (15-Jun-1973)
Director: J. Lee Thompson Writers: John William Corrington; Joyce Hooper Corrington; Paul Dehn Music: Leonard Rosenman Producer: Arthur P. Jacobs Keywords: Action/Adventure, Monkeys, Dystopian Following the conquest and enslavement of most of the remaining humans on a devastated Earth, Caesar insists that not only must ape not kill ape, but apes and humans should be at peace. Others, notable Gen. Aldo, feel differently. Fifth and last of the original Planet of the Apes (1968) sequence, and also that with the lowest budget. It is also a complete hash of a film. A version with restored scenes improves the situation only somewhat.
