EDUCATIONAL INSTITUTION
Founded by Texas Instruments in 1961 as the Graduate Research Center of the Southwest, the school joined the University of Texas system in 1969, offering graduate degrees until 1975. Freshmen were admitted in 1990, a class of 100 students. UT Dallas is very selective.
