In the four-way split-screen Timecode she had an unhealthy relationship with Salma Hayek, and she played Molly Ringwald's best friend in the study of workplace politics, Office Killer.
On stage, Tripplehorn was in an all-star production of Three Sisters on Broadway, with Amy Irving and Lili Taylor as the other sisters. She also starred opposite Val Kilmer in 'Tis Pity She's a Whore.
Now past 40 -- the deadline for film stardom for women -- Tripplehorn has been demoted to TV star. She plays one of Bill Paxton's three wives in HBO's polygamist family drama, Big Love.
