TELEVISION PROGRAM

Sketch comedy, framed as the broadcast of the fictional Second City television station. Founded by the Second City improv troupe. First broadcast 1976-79 on Toronto's Global Television Network. The show was picked up for national broadcast on CBC, 1980-84. Production moved to Edmonton, 1980-82, before returning to Toronto for the remainder. Syndicated for an American audience on NBC, 1981-83.
