SPORTS FRANCHISE

Entered the American League in 1969 as an expansion team, the Seattle Pilots. Sold in bankruptcy court to a group led by Bud Selig during 1970 spring training, and immediately relocated to Milwaukee. Won the American League championship in 1982. Transferred to the National League in 1998.
