Member of a band, "Stonehenge", while in high school. A brilliant singer, diagnosis of malignant melanoma in 1993 cut her career suddenly short. Chemotherapy treatment was started much too late to be of any use, and she died on 2 November 1996. Cassidy recorded one live album during her lifetime, Live at Blues Alley (1996), and one studio album, Eva by Heart, which was released posthumously.
