Executive summary: Daughter of Whitney Houston Daughter of two very famous singers, Bobbi had an extraordinarily difficult childhood because of the environment and particularly bad behavior of her parents. Her mother was found dead in a hotel room bathtub on 11 February 2012, drugs a contributing factor. Bobbi herself was found unresponsive in a different bathtub by her former fiancé Nick Gordon on 31 January 2015. Physicians induced a coma, but were unable to bring about recovery. Brown's condition deteriorated until her death at Peachtree Christian Hospice in Duluth, Georgia. On 7 August 2015, Bobbi's court-appointed conservator Bedelia Hargrove filed a wrongful death complaint against Gordon, alleging that victim Brown was given a "toxic cocktail", beaten, and forcibly submerged in the bathtub. Gordon's attorney calls the suit slanderous and meritless.
[1] The coroner did not make a determination as to whether Houston's death was homicide, but the cause of death was ruled "lobar pneumonia" due to immersion in water, related to drug intoxication.
