She became the BBC radio anchor for "World Update" (1996-98) and London Bureau Chief for CBS Radio News (1996-2001). Starting in 2002 Dozier was Middle East Bureau Chief (Jerusalem) for WCBS-TV of New York. She also became one of CBS's correspondents in Iraq, where she was critically injured 29 May 2006 when her Humvee was the target of an IED across the river from the Green Zone. Her cameraman, Paul Douglas, and sound technician, James Brolan, were killed. At the time all three were embedded with the US Army 4th Infantry Division in Baghdad.
