Segretti was in the middle of a very well-financed dirty tricks campaign against Senators George McGovern and Scoop Jackson. The plan in Portland apparently was to hire prostitutes to seduce Senator Jackson.
In 2000, Segretti served as co-chair of John McCain's campaign in Orange County, California.
