Helmut Kohl AKA Helmut Michael Kohl Born: 3-Apr-1930 Birthplace: Ludwigshafen, Germany Died: 16-Jun-2017 Location of death: Ludwigshafen, Germany Cause of death: unspecified
Gender: Male Religion: Roman Catholic Race or Ethnicity: White Sexual orientation: Straight Occupation: Head of State Nationality: Germany Executive summary: Chancellor of Germany 1982-98 Kohl's wife, Hannelore, committed suicide in 2001 with an overdose of sleeping pills. The former chancellor explained that she was "allergic to light" and unable to leave the house except under cover of darkness, and this was too painful for her to bear. No autopsy was performed. Publications have alluded vaguely to an affair with Kohl's assistant, Juliane Weber, who actually attended with Kohl the wedding of his son Peter. Another associate, financial advisor Diethelm Hoener, was found dead in Cannes on 17 January 2001. The claimed cause of death, a fall, is not consistent with the position her body was discovered in. Wife: Hannelore Renner (b. 7-Mar-1933, m. 1960, two sons, d. 2001 suicide)
