[1] The date generally given as that of her birth. It is not actually known when she was born or whether even the name she is purported to have is actually her real one. No matching entries appear in the Social Security Death Index, but an obituary did appear in the Los Angeles Times on 21 December 1986. After Andrews' supposed death, ghostwritten novels have continued to appear, much like L. Ron Hubbard who died earlier that same year.
