Science fiction author Kevin J. Anderson gained attention for writing Star Wars novelizations and graphic novels skewed toward the youth market. Anderson was later paired with Brian Herbert to co-author the second generation of Dune novels. Other Anderson projects have included three X-Files novels, as well as a handful of stand-alone works, among them Climbing Olympus, Resurrection, Inc., and Blindfold. Critical response to Anderson's work has varied wildly, but since 1993 thirty-two of Anderson's novels have appeared on national bestseller lists. Kevin J. Anderson holds the distinction of breaking the Guinness World Record for "Largest Single-Author Signing" during the promotional tour of his comedy/adventure novel AI! PEDRITO!. AI! PEDRITO! was based on an ealier short story by L. Ron Hubbard.
