WEBSITE
Social network, founded 2004 by Google. Reported 66 million users in 2011. Known for its large userbase in Brazil, where for many years it was the reigning social network, with some 29 million users, before being surpassed by Facebook. Also popular in India. In 2014, Google announced it would be shutting down Orkut, giving users three months to export their data.
