Bambi Meets Godzilla (1969)
Director: Marv Newland Writer: Marv Newland Keywords: Comedy, Short REVIEWS Review by anonymous (posted on 16-Feb-2005) The ultimate Shaggy Dog Story.
Bambi nibbles grass while the credits roll. And roll. And roll. It's
been a while since I last saw it, but for a one-man effort, the
production credits are absolutely astounding. I can't remember the
name, but Edited by John Doe follows Produced by John Doe, Musical
Selections by John Doe, John Doe produced by Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Doe,
that sort of thing. And after sitting through all of that, A giant,
scaled, clawed foot descends from the sky and flattens Bambi. Followed
by the closing credits... that roll on and on and on...
Review by ellis (posted on 28-Mar-2005) Very very short and very hilarious animated flick, so short that it can't really be reviewed without giving away the punchline. This short was a staple of public library film rentals for years, along with such other stalwarts of that breed as Hardware Wars. Great movies for kids' birthdays.
This really oughta be on the web because it's so short that a MPEG file would not be unreasonably long. Haven't found it yet but I plan to keep looking.
Do you know something we don't?
