When young Bliss discovers roller derby during a shopping trip in Austin one day, she is instantly taken by the outlet it provides for her eccentric state of mind, quickly developing a passion for the rough-and-tumble sport on her way to a confrontation with her mother's desire for her to compete in beauty pageants.
