ABSTRACT
Remake of Footloose (1984). Ren MacCormack, a product of urban Boston, moves to a small town in the rural South after his single mother's death at the hands of leukemia. The conservative community, which banned rock music and dancing following a public outcry led by the local Reverend Shaw Moore in response to the accidental deaths of five teenagers, presents a challenge for the young Ren, whose love of everything his new town abhors looks primed to shake the status quo up.
