The Wild Blue Yonder (5-Sep-2005)
Director: Werner Herzog Writer: Werner Herzog Keywords: Sci-Fi Astronauts from Earth look for a new place to live, as their planet as become inhospitable; meanwhile, an alien tells the story of his own dying planet.
ABSTRACT Oscar-nominated actor Brad Dourif is a wayward alien narrating the eerie tale of his people's planetary collapse. As they attempt to colonize an inhospitable Earth, humans launch a similarly desperate effort elsewhere in space. Director/writer Werner Herzog's combination of NASA footage with Henry Kaiser's arresting visuals from beneath the Antarctic Ocean make this a unique and visually satisfying film, if not a little long-winded and disappointing.
