Director: Jean-Marc Vallée Writers: François Boulay; Jean-Marc Vallée Keywords: Drama, Comedy A curious young man searches for his own identity in a time of great dysfunction and social upheaval.
ABSTRACT Zac Beaulieu, born on Christmas Day, 1960 to father Gervais and mother Laurianne, is a precocious young man searching for certainty in an unpredictable world. The fourth of five sons in his family, each strange and difficult to be around in their own respective ways, Zac struggles to please a devoutly Catholic mother viewing him as a sort of Christ-like figure and a father desiring his progeny mature into ultra-masculine "men's men", an interpersonal battle taking place against the backdrop of the politically and culturally contentious 1960s and 70s as he ages into a young adult.
