REVIEWS Review by Barry (posted on 13-Mar-2005) A definite sleeper due to the timing of it's release in 1996. In my opinion, the greatest sci-fi film of all time -- bar none.
Ideas in this film were based on real science and the cast made it almost believeable. Birthed what many refer to as "intelligent sci-fi" while at the same time, being a throwback to the sci-fi thrillers of the 1950's. Charlie Sheen, Ron Silver, Teri Polo, and Lindsay Crouse did a terrific job in a film that made us think about environmental issues while at the same time, introducing us to the most interesting aliens ever. People who do not normally enjoy science fiction, liked this film. See this one and enjoy. It's the best.
