Five children in the turn-of-the-century Missouri town of Kings Row tracked from childhood into adulthood. Many subplots in this soap opera, but still one of the great coming-of-age films of the 1940s. The most challenging role of Ronald Reagan's career, from which he obtained the title of his first memoir, Where's the Rest of Me?. Watered down adaptation of Henry Bellamann's novel, out of necessity due to the Hays Code. Received three Oscar nominations including Best Picture and Best Director.
