| Anzio (24-Jul-1968)

Original Title: Lo Sbarco di Anzio Director: Edward Dmytryk Writers: Harry Craig; Frank De Felitta; Duilio Coletti; Giuseppe Mangione Based on a book: Anzio by Wynford Vaughan-Thomas Music Composed and Conducted by: Riz Ortolani Producer: Dino De Laurentiis Keywords: Drama, WWII, Italian Campaign War correspondent Dick Ennis and seven soldiers are cut off behind enemy lines in the background of the Allied invasion at Anzio. Despite the title, this is not a film about the disastrous landing which killed 30,000 Allied soldiers. Instead, we get a mildly anti-war, fictional account which borders on tedium, backed with entirely inappropriate theme music.
